Toyota web application User guide & training video
Challenge
The goal should always be to build an application that is so intuitive that no instruction manual is needed. After all, most people don’t read instructions anyway. But in some cases, complex applications require user guides. That’s the case with the Toyota Motor North America legal review website. The site is used by internal Toyota associates and external agencies to route materials to the Toyota legal team for approval.
Solution
Understanding that people have different learning styles, I created both print and video training guides.

The video uses a computer-generated voiceover. While not as appealing as a real human voice, it’s effective and very economical. Plus, it’s easy to maintain perfect consistency in the voiceover as future app changes require updates.
